Friday was the busiest air travel day in the U.S. since the beginning of the pandemic, according to federal statistics.
The Transportation Security Administration tracked 2.49 million passengers through U.S. airports on Friday as Americans attempted to make the most of the long weekend. The previous high of 2.46 million passengers was set on June 26.
