Association of Indian American Seniors meets in Edison

The Federation of Indian American Seniors Associations of North America (FISANA) held its first meeting of the year at Golden Era Adult Daycare Center at new location which is at 23, Nevsky St., Edison, NJ under the leadership of newly elected President Bharat Rana and Chairman Deepakbhai Shah. 

The ceremonial diya-lighting took place in the presence of Padmashri Dr Sudhir Parikh, Dipak Shah, Bimal Joshi, Bharat Rana, Dr Mukund Thakar, Anand Patel.

Dr.Parikh, owner of Parikh World Media thanked FISANA and Bharat Rana and promised to help in all the way he can. 

Rana invited Past President Ratilal who gave a broad outlook of his presidency with a surplus in account. He invited Shirish Patel as treasurer who gave a brief layout of accounts. 

Chairman Dipak Shah requested FISANA members to donate of $1/month, which equals to $12 per year to make the organization grow at a fast pace.

Rana who took the charge from Ratilal, shared his views about his plans for 2023. He highlighted that though the association had close to 10,000 members only a few turned up for events.  

Rana announced the committee at large. He introduced Anand Patel and Vipul Amin as the Board of Directors. Dr. Mukund Thakar and Dipak Shah raised their voice about staying united and making efforts to request funds from the government by appealing to the Edison Mayor and NJ Governor and seeking arrangements of new building/housing. 

Dharmesh Patel highlighted the importance of voting in the respective town/county and the significance of united efforts of FISANA. 

Bimal Joshi of Golden Era and Anand Patel addressed those gathered by giving a broad outlook of involvement in the political era, the importance of voting, unity in the community and jointly visiting the mayor and Governor to showcase FISANA as the largest umbrella association. 

Dipak Shah was awarded for giving special extended support to Clifton over the years. Dr Mukund Thakar along with his wife Mrs. Ramaben was also honored by Clifton Association for his contribution to the association. 

The staff of Golden Era Adult Care Center extended their full support in managing lunch session and FISANA members enjoyed their first meeting in a successive progressive way.
