Smorgasburg outdoor food market returns to the World Trade Center

The world’s largest outdoor food market has returned to lower Manhattan — with a little something to wash it down.

Smorgasburg, a weekly congregation of food vendors, launched on Friday at the World Trade Center, the latest sign of recovery to a section of the city hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

The market will start with 20 vendors every Friday through the summer when it will increase to 30 through Oct. 28.

Vendors include Carlito’s Barbecue Taqueria, D’Abruzzo, Duck Season, Red Hook Lobster and Parish Po’ Boys. Customers will be able to order through Uber Eats for delivery or skip the line to pick up food at vendor booths.
