Diwali 2023 to be celebrated at Times Square on the theme of ‘United Colors of America’

New York: The Consulate of India in New York, AR Helping Hands, and the Executive Committee of Diwali at Times Square are coming together to celebrate Diwali this year in a grand manner with the theme of ‘United Colors of America’.

The mega event is being planned to celebrate the historic ‘Diwali NYC official School Holiday’ with NYC Mayor Eric Adams, the Consul General of India in NY Randhir Jaiswal, and Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar – the power behind the Diwali NYC School holiday along with NYC Mayor Adams, and the entire board and the team of Diwali at Times Square on October 28.

“We are inviting other ethnic communities to showcase their art and culture. We believe that understanding different cultures makes us realize that the basic tenets of all cultures and religions are the same. However, the difference in expression serves to enrich the tapestry of our lives.

. By celebrating Diwali in Times Square, we essentially spread the light of love and life worldwide and remove the darkness of ignorance and prejudice,” a statement by Diwali at Times Square said.
