Israel: Netanyahu ousted
Naftali Bennett, leader of the right-wing Yamina (United Right) party, was sworn in as new Israeli prime minister in June ending Benjamin Netanyahu’s record 12-year rule.
Israel’s longest-serving leader, Netanyahu won a record four elections and held office five times.
His ouster came after Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid announced that he had reached a deal with a small pro-settler party and others to form a coalition government to cast Netanyahu out.
